Dr. Bhide is part of a very slick operation at present, and has fallen victim to believing more in his own press than in listening to his patients. I am a diabetic and went to Dr. Bhide to deal with the infection. He prescribed a cleaning and nothing else, in spite of me requesting an antibiotic. I previously had ended up in intensive care due to the impact of this type of infection on my diabetes management. Despite increasing my insuliln levels (in consultation with my endocrinologist), and requesting antibiotics (which I do not do lightly), Dr. Bhide decided in his infinite wisdom that the ongoing risk to my health would simply be dealt with by a deep cleaning. No objection to that, but in the meantime, due to radical shifts in my blood sugar, I had to go to my GP to get antibiotics. I went to get the second half of my cleaning done, and found out that antibiotic is useless against the infection - in which case Dr. Bhide should have gotten off his high horse and given me the right one. I nearly died because of a similar situation with an equally cavalier attitude from a periodontist. I will not trust Dr. Bhide to actually pay attention to the individual. His practice is part of an assembly line of dentistry, where individuals are ignored and THEIR knowledge disregarded. I have had many health issues, and this attitude has proven dangerous to me in the past. I would not trust Dr. Bhide to actually pay attention to the PERSON - he may be this brilliant lecturer and diagnostician, but I will never go to him again.
