Excellent dentist. Nice amenities and staff are very proactive and helpful when it comes to appointments and insurance (and everything else). Dr. Steffens definitely knows her stuff and is very knowledgeable and definitely puts patient satisfaction first. That being said, I am extremely satisfied with this dental office and look forward to my next cleaning!

I might be the first negative review for the Dr online, but my family's experience was no less than that. We became her patients last year sometime. First thing when we went there, we were asked what our insurance plan's limits were. I've later learned that if you provide that to a greedy dentist (not all are) such as Dr Steffens, they know how to charge you for the rest of the year. My teeth had some cavities, my wife's were almost perfect, based on a status from a previous Mississauga dentist who is well known, just decided not to continue going there due overall high prices. Dr Steffens decided, between say mid-last year and mid-this year, when we stopped going to her, to pretty much "touch", "find cavities" in all corners of our mouths, mine and my wife's. Note: my wife's teeth were pretty much spotless. I now, after the last time I was there in May or April, still feel sensitivity in two quarters of my mouth, sensitivity which should go away, based on her affirmations, in 2-3 months. During one visit, she decided our then 18-months old needed to have a file and checked her out, even though nothing was done. She charges for things you don't need all the time, like sensitivity paste/liquids. My wife's last cleaning cost $246, instead of the usual, customary for most dentists $170 or so. My plan's limit of $2500 was finished by mid-year 2016. To me, that is call GREED and a dentist who does not know how to manage a patient's plan. On top of that, she wanted to cap my tooth which just had a nerve out, knowing fully that I can staying without capping until next year and that it will go over my limit, which she consumed fully. Lesson learned, I heard and learned afterward that it's not a good idea to let dentists know of your limit and manage yourself your plan until you know they're greedy or not, pay for services and claim yourself, or get them to fill out the form and claim yourself, so that they do not know your limit, so that can mismanage it.
