I lost $31,279.46 to Dr. Rubinoff for dental work which was so bad that it must be re-done by another dentist. In order to sell me his dental work, Dr. Rubinoff provided outlandish glowing promises about his new teeth. He completely misrepresented the benefits of his very expensive teeth and ruined my ability to eat without tremendous discomfort. During his sales pitch, Dr. Rubinof offered to include a free customized night guard, but after he was paid, he claimed that I should not use a night guard, so he did not fabricate one, nor did he apply the account credit as promised. When I complained about this deception, he offered to apply the credit, but only if I brought him more business. How devious! In another incident, I asked for my X-ray in order to obtain a second opinion about his implants, but he refused to provide the X-ray – which is an act of professional misconduct under the Dentistry Act 1991. On two separate occasions, large chunks of denture material snapped off, causing me to almost choke. Dr. Rubinoff’s handiwork also resulted in an ugly metal protrusion glaring out the front of my teeth which is highly visible. Everything Dr. Rubinoff told me during his sales pitch turned out to be a massive, deceptive, fraudulent misrepresentation. These problems aside, my treatment was disrupted by a fight which Dr. Rubinoff had with his previous clinic (at Sheppard Yorkland Dental Clinic), in which he was asked to leave. He now works at Bayview Village Mall. I can’t believe how deceitful, sloppy and inept this dentist was with me – a horrible disaster from beginning to end - not what I expected from a dentist whose credentials appear to be stellar. To be fair, I wish to emphasize that this review is MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION, ABOUT ONLY MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE as a patient, and NOT about Dr. Rubinoff’s practice in general, which may be full of satisfied patients, NOR the other dentists in his clinic.
