My husband needed to see a dentist ASAP and Dr. H made time to see us that night at 10pm. On top of being extremely helpful and doing a fantastic job, he charged us much less than what our usual dentist does. Overall I was extremely impressed and just sad that he doesn't have an office where we live in Toronto!

I needed to see a dentist ASAP. He fit me around the schedule and in fact, charged me much much less than what the other dentists in the area were charging. He's got a sense of humour as well :P Overall it was a great experience and I would definately go again

I needed to be seen ASAP on the weekend. Not only did he see me on late, late sunday night. It was quick, and he did a fantastic job for less than what I normally pay at my regular dentist. He was professional, friendly and it was just a great experience. 11/10

@ the person who claims to have worked for him, given that you can't spell his name, I doubt you worked for him. I am writing this review due to a terrible experience I had at another dentist in the area, Dr. J. Wayne. Dr. Hashem used to be my dentist from when I was a child, up to my early 20's before I moved away for school. During that time he was nothing but kind, professional, and good at what he did. I find it unfortunate to hear about what happened, but am also very surprised at the nature of how the RC of dentists went about to get him suspended. To get an injunction like that he needs to pose a threat, yet, he had been retired for a couple years before that. But I digress. The point is that of all the area's surrounding dentists, several have all been speaking negatively about him and yet their work is subpar at best compared to his. I have seen several dentists in Toronto and Dr. Wayne and someone else (a woman around Billings Bridge) here in Ottawa, and Dr. Hashem is hands down the best out of the lot. In terms of price, but more importantly in terms of quality and assurance that if something were to go wrong (e.g. my braces wire broke during a rugby match at school), I would be seen THAT EVENING to be fixed, free of charge or at a minimal fee. I would go to him today if he was still open. Just my 10cents

I saw Dr. Hashem over several visits in 2009 or 2010 for cleaning, a root canal, and one crown and for my daughters braces. The crown is still great! I don't know what the fuss is about, but his office was clean, he was direct although polite, and very professional. He always made sure that we could be accomodated (I worked during the day and so he would see us late in the evening). His prices were very reasonable and significantly lower than quotes I got from other dentists in the area. I live in Toronto now, but I would visit him if I was in Ottawa. -AM
