I had been experiencing intermittent tooth pain that my Dentist of over forty years could not nail down, on my first visit with Dr Kang he accurately determined my problem and on the follow up did a very nice root canal, painless and in a timely manner, I found Dr Kang to be excellent to deal with and I highly recommend him. They office staff are very professional as well.

Through personal neglect and early history in the U.K. my teeth were in need of renewal. I met Dr. Kang in a minor emergency in late August. He took care of the interim situation and when I was able to return in October he set out a plan which involved extraction of a shattered wisdom tooth, substantial repair of the broken tooth and a number of minor fillings. The whole process was carried out with very little pain and a high degree of perfection. I have great confidence in Dr. Kang and highly recommend him.

I was shocked and accosted from what I experienced with Dr. Harj Kang. He showed a Lack of professionalism Lack of acknowledgment Lack of consideration Lack of consent Lack of tact and sensitivity Defensive and hostile manner with physically intimating body language During a cavity filling, I felt ignored and unacknowledged. Treated like a piece of meat or a cadaver as there was no sense of tact or decency when Dr. Kang and a dental assistant decided to have a candid conversation about how they did not agree with the Canadian government’s decision for people to be addressed by their proper pronouns. It was incredibly frustrating , inappropriate and unprofessional to have that conversation while working on a client. Feeling trapped and unable to speak I started to cry. Dr. Kang and the assistant during their conversation made inside joke like snide remarks about sensitive clients crying. After the service Dr. Kang and I spoke and I told him why I was deeply unsatisfied. He was sitting in his seat while I was still in the patients seat - sat up after I requested it. What started as a conversation with him approx 2 feet away. ended with him angry, our faces less than a foot away his shoulders squared and knees against the patients chair blocking my ability to leave. He told me the jokes about sensitive crying patients was about “another” client that they had both dealt with in an earlier appointment. To which I explained how that doesn’t make it better as they were ridiculing another client in front of a client. After some “I’m sorry if you feel that way” and “that was not the intention” After explanations of why I have feeling due to his actions and people can take the things he said negatively regardless of his intentions. He shouted “WELL IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT WELL THEN YOU ARE FREE TO LEAVE” to which I realized as I was going to take him up on that as I saw that there was no use explaining to him if he was no willing to listen, that he was physically blocking my path and ability to leave. I pointed at our positioning and he quickly backed away after realizing that he was imposing an aggressive domineering body language. I don’t think that Dr. Kang is a bad person but his people skills leave a lot to be desired some emotional maturity would be nice and a basic level of decency to stick to non controversial political opinions as conversation fodder while he is practicing I think would be the least he needs to do.

My previous dentist retired after 25 years of trusted dental care. I was worried about finding a new one, and one that would meet my prior trust levels. I went to a new clinic with positive reviews in pursuit of developing a strong relationship with a new dentist. Teeth and Oral health are extremely important to me and I have heard nightmare stories. I was unsure who would be assigned to me and I am so pleased that Dr Kang came into my life. His calm, even and professional manner is well appreciated. It is clear that he takes great pride in himself and his practice. His attention to detail, thoroughness and overall understanding of dentistry is exceptional. I have had multiple crowns, old fillings replaced and other small needs that have been completed with absolute perfection. He has taken the time to outline the pros and cons of waiting on aspects of dental needs, and it has been made clear that his perspective and recommendations are on point. I tell everyone I know that if they need a new dentist, to look no further. I am so glad that I have a trusted Dentist again.
