A graduate of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Hermina Battaglin had been practicing for over 5 years in downtown Toronto before moving uptown to the Art of Smile Denistry.
During her years in practice, she has sought to further her skills by participating in many continuing education courses, focusing on implant and cosmetic dentistry. Other certifications include nitrous oxide sedation, zoom whitening.
Dr. Battaglin is very passionate about her profession, receiving great satisfaction from creating attractive, healthy smiles. She strongly believes that listening to patients is very important in order to develop a treatment plan based on each person’s needs whether it is a simple filling or a complex make-over. Her goal is to help patients keep their teeth in good health as long as possible through continuous care and quality restorations. Referrals from satisfied patients are extremely valuable as they demonstrate trust and value in the care she provides.
Dr. Battaglin is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons, Ontario Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association. She is also a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Battaglin will be providing you with a complete range of dental services in general family and cosmetic dentistry. She is comfortable treating all patients from the young to the young at heart.

I have a tremendous fear of the dentist and hadnt been in years. Needless to say when I finally had no choice but to contact a dentist, I was terrified. Dr. Battaglin is just so pleasant and reassuring that I immediately felt like evertyhing was going to be ok. She wasn't judgmental, just told me what was up and what we had to do to fix it. She's very sweet but at the same time very professional. She's very patient and really takes the best interest of her patients to heart. She is such an amazing dentist!

Storage
I'm not a dentist, but I am an atnsssait.Tell her that the dentist is going to look at her pretty smile.Tell her that he may even take a picture of it.If you are taking her to a general dentist and she is very nervous, she will probably be referred to a pediatric dentist. If the tooth hurts her, they may do a baby root canal, called a pulpotmy.If not, it may be able to be filled. Hopefully, the tooth won't need to be extracted b/c kids need their baby teeth to act as a guide for their grown up teeth.Whatever happens, stay calm and ease her fears. If Mommy is aftraid or nervous, your daughter will be too. And she may develop a fear of the dentist that follows her to adulthood.I hope this helps!Happy Holidays!
