I have been to this office 3 times, and all 3 times I have been so impressed with the ladies at the front desk who were all kind and pleasant and very helpful. The assistants who took care of my 3 year old daughter were also very kind. But my experiences with Dr. Aber have always left me feeling angry or frustrated. My daughter has an extensive amount of work to be done (tooth decay due to the bottle at the babysitter's), and with limited finances I am trying my best to do what's best for my daughter. But she spoke to my husband and I in a very condescending tone, as if it's got to be her way or no way at all. She pressures you into making quick decisions without being able to comfortably ask questions or request other options. And I learned that the hard way. Today, after injecting her 3 times with local anesthesia, she did not even go ahead with the work to be done on my daughter's teeth. Yes, my daughter was understandably in pain and because of that, she was hysterical. But if given even just 2 minutes, I believe she would have fallen asleep and the work could've been completed. But she was impatient and spoke to us as if we were awful parents for not enthusiastically agreeing to general anesthesia. If I had known she would give up so easily, I would have requested a different dentist. I completely agree with the other mom who comme nted saying that she was very abrasive. I understand Dr. Aber is the expert, but she should be more understanding considering this is new to me, and my daughter is very little and I don't rush into surgery very easily. I am extremely frustrated and feeling helpless after today's appointment.
